Enrichment and Trips
The children at New Brighton Primary School take part in a wide-variety of enrichment activities, to really help to bring their learning to life.
Our Bright Ideas curriculum provides a wealth of opportunities for the children to venture out in to the local community, and beyond, so that they can connect what they are learning in the classroom with a real-world context.
Whether boarding vehicles from the past at Wirral Transport Museum, conducting field study work at Wepre Park or hopping on a train to Liverpool to see significant landmarks, it is rare that a week goes by without one of our classes heading out to explore! Residentials in Condover, Tattenhall and the Isle of Man also take place each year.
Visitors play a huge role in bringing topics and themes to life for our children too. 'Past Productions' join us in school regularly to deliver workshops about the distant past and allow our children the chance to see historical artefacts up close, a wide variety of 'People Who Help Us' share their knowledge and skills with our youngest children and not all of our visitors are human; when learning about different species of animals our Foundation 2 children are always delighted to meet reptiles, minibeasts and various mammals in their own classrooms!
Connect with us over on Instagram to see where we've been, and who has been to see us, lately!
