Sport
Sport, in all it's forms, is highly valued at New Brighton Primary School.
We provide as many opportunities as possible for the children to develop their physical skills, from Nursery to Year 6.
PE lessons are an important part of the weekly timetable for every class but, alongside those, we pride ourselves on encouraging the children to see the value of sport at a wider level, through inter-school competitions - teams from New Brighton Primary often compete against other schools in a variety of sports including football, tennis, golf and athletics. Our strong links with local secondary schools give our children the chance to explore other sports and make the most of different facilities too.
Trips to high profile sporting events have also become a regular feature in our school calendar whenever they come around; last year for example, a group of children spent the day at The Open Championship while some of our keen gymnasts had a wonderful day out at the British Gymnastics Championships.
